You know when you’ve been holding your breath for a while and you do a long breath out and you feel everything just release?
That is how I feel at the moment after leaving my big job.
I’m eating better. I’m sleeping better. I don’t feel like ants are crawling around my nervous system. My mind is clear. I have more energy. I feel more social. I don’t feel overwhelmed by small things. The world has opened up to me and it is a wonderful thing.
This is because I’ve changed my relationship to stress. I’ve stepped outside of stress and said ‘no, you will not rule my life anymore’.
How did I do it? Not by quitting my job. That was a result of the changes, not the catalyst.
How I did it was by looking after myself so so well, finally. By creating space to reflect and reset. By sitting in the uncomfortable unknown for a while to see what I could learn there (which felt so murky and hard, trust me). Then by getting sparkles of hope and seeing how things could be different.
The result: freedom, clarity, joy, respect for myself, calmness, excitement at the future, a less frantic existence.
That is what I want for this Corporate Recovery Program and for each of you who will join us.
So this is what I’ve designed.
A long breath out. Space to feel, think, dream and understand. And then, a crack of light, a sparkle of something beautiful. Hope. Understanding that there is another way to live and work.
Here are some things I believe in:
It is possible to work in a different way. A way that lights you up and makes you feel so good.
Life is too short to be stressed all the time.
There is rich deep joy available to you.
It is possible to find this whether you stay in corporate or not.
You already have the answers and can absolutely find them.

What is the Corporate Recovery Program?
This isn’t a quick and dirty 10x yourself program, let’s be clear. For some of you, the impacts will hit you well down the track. It is subtle because any change comes from you and will be in direct correlation to how you show up.
It is a personal gift of space and reflection. The ability to pause, look around and see what you really need, who you really are and what is going to happen next for you.
It is the gift of connection and community, meeting people who, just like you, think there is more out there and that life could feel better.
It is the gift of clarity and calm, through reducing distractions, focussing in on your own needs and staying there for a while.
Three months, each with a different focus.
Month one is The Deep Breath Out. Let’s give ourselves some calm and space. A reset for your nervous system and busy brain.
What we will be percolating on: Dropping out of the stress buzz and into ourselves, soothing the system, finding calm, working on the questions of ‘who I am really and what do I need?’
Month two is the Uncomfortable Unknown. You’ve climbed down from your buzzy stress mountain and find yourself in a valley. It is a bit dark and mysterious. It isn’t lovely. This is where the mucky work happens. The challenge of not distracting ourselves all the time. Of being a little less busy.
What we will be percolating on: The power of not being busy, how we can find more stillness and calm, creating space for thoughts, dreams, ideas and insights, not having to have all the answers, reducing distractions and noise, finding out about ourselves.
Month three is Lighting The Spark. This is where we dream, plan, get clear on what we need going forward. This is where we build excitement and hope!
What we will be percolating on: Getting crystal clear on our value, understanding what change we are seeking, understanding the challenge point of going against the standard way, building the sparks of new ideas and hope about how things could be different, realising our unique power to change.
What will happen?
Each month there will be welcome videos, fortnightly sessions (or more if we find more to talk about), a workbook and resources and a community space to share experiences.
I will give you concepts, resources, questions to ponder on and sit with.
We will also have monthly deep rest practices from the wonderful Daily Rest Studio.
This program will be personal and practical. A blend of open discussion, vulnerable moments and practical strategies. I will bring my coaching and mentoring experience, personal insights, a bucketload of love and enthusiasm for each of you and hey why not a big dose of consulting smarts.
I will be your guide because I believe in this work and in your ability to shift things for yourself.
When will it start?
We will start in September once we have a quorum. Details about accessing resources and live sessions will be made available to those who join.
Live sessions will be every second Thursday at 12pm AEST.
Pricing for the program:
This is a personal investment. It is a little statement to yourself: I am worth this time and space. Something needs to change and I think I’m ready to start. It is an investment no doubt, but oh, think about a life with more space to breathe and more joy in each day!
